How To Measure And Install Venetian Blinds That It Comes To Choosing The Right Blinds For Your Home?

When it comes to choosing the right blinds for your home, there are a few things you need to consider. These include material type, size and style. These will impact how the blinds will look, function and fit into your space.

The First Step: Measuring for Venetian Blinds

If you're thinking about a new set of blinds, the first thing you need to do is measure them. Then, you'll know how to order them and install them correctly so that they fit perfectly.

Using your measuring tape, start with the top of the window and measure down to the bottom. This will help you determine how far down the Venetian Blinds should rest to give you the best light control and privacy.

Next, decide how much overlap you want on each side of the blinds to keep them from blocking out all of the natural sunlight. You'll need at least 1 1/2" to 2" of space on each side for optimal light control and privacy.

You can add a few inches of extra space if you're considering an outside mount for increased privacy and light blockage. Also, be sure to allow space for obstructions like doorknobs and moulding that could interfere with the mounting brackets on your window frame.

Inside Mounts

Most of the time, the most popular way to mount a blind is through the window frame. This method gives the blind a clean, finished look and ensures that your window looks its best. However, this method can be tricky if your window doesn't have the depth to accommodate an inside mount.

To get an idea of how deep your window needs to be, you can double check the “mounting requirements” section of any product you’re interested in. If your window doesn’t meet these guidelines, you’ll need to choose another product or move on to a different style.

If you’re unsure about how much room you have for your window, we’ll provide you with a free quote that includes a custom estimate of the exact depth you need. It will also let you know if your chosen product can be mounted inside or outside of your window for the ultimate home experience.

Determined The Height And Width You Need

Once you've determined the height and width you need, it's time to begin ordering your new Venetian Blinds Abu Dhabi. Our blinds come with a finishing valance that snaps into place over the top rail to cover the brackets and give your blinds a finished, tailored look.

The valance can be ordered to match the color of your blinds or in a neutral shade so that they will blend in with any other windows in your home. Often, this piece is also designed to hide the seams at the top of the blinds and extend the length of the window casing.

Once your window is complete, be sure to test the blinds to make sure they open and close properly. If you notice any problems with them, contact our Customer Care team and we'll be happy to help.
